Bath time...fun time

We had to get some pictures of T's bath time. He is so adorable in that bathtub. He gets so excited, either its the sound of the water he recognizes or the bathroom itself. His arms and legs start flailing, he gets all smiley, he knows what is going on. He is not balanced enough to sit up by himself (he has made a couple face dives into the water), so bath time is still short. But it must relax him. I don't know exactly what he enjoys about it but it is fun to see his excitement.

Cute Baby Times

T is becoming such a little boy. He is interested in everything. His attention span is about 30 seconds. Its fun to play with him and get his reactions. He wants to move around, but just can't figure it out yet. What he has figured out is how to look cute.

He is so curious about the remote, mom and dad have it so often he must just want to be part of the fun. He looks just like his dad. I know I might be bias, but he is the cutest baby. We just love him.

It is amazing to see him get older. He responds to his name, he looks at you when you are talking to him and he loves to play games. Here is one of his favorite. It is hard not to smile when he makes those sweet noises.

Post Seattle Depression

Despite how happy Tanner looks he too is suffering from what we like to call PSD. We aren't referring to a Photoshop document here. It has been two weeks since we left the great state of Washington and the city we love Seattle. Our hopes were high feeling refreshed as we caught up with friends and spent quality time with our families. Little did we know that a severe case of PSD was on the horizon. It hit almost the day we arrived home or should I say the day we arrived to a cold dark (we think green and turned off all the lights, actually we unplugged a lot of things too) apartment. Gone was the scent of warm bread just coming out of the oven, gone was the sound of children laughing, gone. It was all gone. (OK maybe that is a little dramatic. There might never have been the scent of warm bread on our trip, but you get the point)

Life back here in the Commonwealth of Kentucky has been fine. Despite the fact that we were jet legged for almost a week not getting up until well past 11am. We have managed to scrap life back together. Tanner had the hardest transition as we tried to ween him off his sweet tasting pacifier.

We are now sleeping through the night which is probably helpful when you are depressed. At times like these we have to look to the flag and know "United we stand, divided we fall" miss everyone and look forward to the day we don't have to leave Seattle ever.

Big ups to Walmart and their five dollar photos. I love living in a free market economy!!

Christmas 2008

We recently returned from our Christmas vacation in Washington. Flying home to see the fams was an adventure. T and I were there for 2 weeks and D was there for 11 days. We had a very Merry Christmas! Santa brought us a Christmas surprise of 18" of snow while we were there. Seattle and snow don't mix well together, so it kinda of made it hard to move back and forth from the houses. They are over an hour away from each other, so we are are always splitting our time back and forth. Despite some snowy roads we got to see a lot of our friends and family. We did miss some family that were snowed in with 5 feet in Spokane. It is so nice having T around his extended family. I could tell he loved his Grandmas! It was sad leaving, we really miss home. We don't know how much longer we are going to be away, but look forward to the day when we can come back, be it for a quick visit or a permanent move. I guess we'll see what the new year brings!
