Thank Goodness for Summer

Things have been pretty busy here.  D and I took a weekend off in Las Vegas.  We had a great time with D' siblings for a 2 days. Thanks Brawners for the amazing time! The kids spent the weekend at my parents and we met up with them when we got back for the Fourth of July festivities. 

 We had a picnic down by Capitol Lake with my parents. It was a perfect day, 75 degrees and blues skies!

I thought T would enjoy the fountains.  But he wasn't too sure about it...I think the kids screaming is what turned him off.  They were screaming out of fun...not out of fear.  But he didn't get it.

G didn't mind the water that much...but was also distracted by the kids screaming and running around.

T is normally not fearful kid but I guess the Fourth of July is not his thing.  He was also scared of the fireworks.  He got anxious just at the sound of them.  He did not want anything to do with them. So there weren't too many fireworks lite off that weekend.  We did a few after he went to bed.  He fell asleep that night with his hands over his ears...funny guy. Now we are gearing up for a week at Crescent Bar with the whole Koons clan, we leave tomorrow.  Should be fun!

Cars 2

T finally got to see the new Cars movie!  He had been anxiously waiting for weeks now.  He had watched the trailers online everyday leading up to it. He knew all the cars names already.  He also new the name of the big race.  He loved it! It was his first time at the movie theater.  He was glued to that screen from start to finish.  When he gets scared he covers his ears (don't know why), so there were a few moments of that.  G was the handful, she watched for like ten minutes before she was up and down and all around.  But she did not distract T at all. It was fun to see him get so excited!
